paint cans and brush

While 2020 was a challenge for many people and businesses across the US, including our own, we were able to accomplish a few key agendas and customer projects last year. The lockdown created a lot of challenges for us to be able to complete projects in resident’s homes, as the lockdown caused a lot of backorders in lumber and tile supplies which pushed a lot of projects out until later in the year. While times were tough for us all, we wanted to showcase a few projects we were able to complete last year.

Custom Built Deck:

Grilling, Sunsets and Relaxation – Oh My!

Our first project was a wonderful, custom-built deck addition for a cozy, red brick, ranch-style home in the Pittsburgh area. It was a project the customer had been wanting to do for a long time and the new deck gives them the perfect outdoor space they had been missing from their home. They couldn’t be happier with the results and told us they look forward to outdoor grilling and relaxing sunset views.

Bathroom Remodel #1:

From 70’s to WOW!

Our next project was a full bathroom remodel. The homeowner had a bathroom that felt like a 70’s time warp. The colors and finishes were very dated and had become an eye-sore for the homeowner –  it was time for it to go! They wanted a timeless style that would brighten up the room and stand the test of time. We created a new bathroom for them featuring light-colored marble tile, subtle gray paint that complimented the tile, and a dark accent color on the vanity to make the pure white countertop stand out.

Bathroom Remodel #2:

Making a small space appear larger

The second bathroom remodel consisted of a bathroom that had very dark colors, poor lighting and shower tile that had a lot of leaking issues that was causing some damage. We freshened up the entire bathroom by adding long, narrow floor tile in a white and black style which helps draw your eye into the bathroom causing the small space to appear larger. We also added smaller tile in the shower which also gives the impression that the shower is larger than before. We then added a new toilet, white vanity, white paint, and new lighting which really brightened up the entire space. When working with a small bathroom, light colors and appropriate use of sizing with floor and shower tile will give the impression of a roomier space.

Website Remodel:

Home improvements weren’t all we did in 2020

Finally, after long deliberation, we decided our website was long overdue for an overhaul. We love supporting local business, so we reached out to several designers in the Pittsburgh area and finally settled on one that understood our business, listened to our needs and took our vision of a clean, crisp website into fruition. We are very proud of our new site and encourage people to take a look.
